C. C. Canan Collection of Penmanship

"After the death of the famed A. D. Taylor in 1898, [Clinton C.] Canan was equaled by no living penman in delicate, accurate, free-hand ornamental penmanship. A Zanerian graduate, he taught penmanship at Cleary College in Michigan, the Cedar Rapids Business School in Iowa, and Shissler College in Pennsylvania.
