PRE-ORDER, CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
1. Pre-Orders:
Certain items offered by Scribes & Beyond are available only by pre-order. These items are typically:
Produced or sourced in limited quantities, imported, manufactured, or ordered specifically in response to demand.
For such items, a minimum of ten (10) confirmed pre-orders is required before we place an order with our supplier.
 
By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and agree that:
Your order contributes toward meeting the minimum quantity requirement
Supplier orders will only be placed once a minimum of 10 pre-orders have been reached
Estimated delivery timeframes are indicative only and commence after the minimum quantity requirement is met
Delivery timelines may be affected by supplier production schedules, shipping, customs clearance, or other factors outside our control.
Once a pre-order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
 
2. Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including but not limited to:
Deciding not to proceed after placing a pre-order
Delays arising from minimum order requirements
Ordering the wrong item
Misunderstanding product descriptions or timelines

3. Refunds
Under the Australian Consumer Law You are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if an item:
Is faulty
Is significantly different from its description
Is it unsafe or not fit for its intended purpose
 
**** Minor cosmetic variations, surface marks, oxidation, or natural manufacturing characteristics (where the product's function is unaffected) do not constitute faults.
**** Specialist tools (including nibs) may display such characteristics due to material composition and storage conditions.
 
4. Assessment Process
All refund requests must be submitted in writing and include:
Order number
Clear photographs
A detailed description of the issue
 
Items may require inspection before a resolution is determined.
